Good Day
Thank God for his wonderful mercies, for this creation, his patience and the care he takes with each of us. This brings me to one of my favorite Bible verses in recent memory Matthew 6:25-34
"25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
You can't really expound beyond the authors statements. This is a defining statement representing all that God is in one of the most minimal explanations possible. This is our guiding statement to heavenly reward, this is the Magnum opus of Christianity. It is an awe inducing spectacle of words carefully designed by the Father to bring forth joy from the inner springs of our spirit. Jesus shows the varying degrees of relationships between God and his creation and confirms the Godhead's devotion to humans as his children. There is no doubt left in the readers mind of the individuals own self worth through the value placed on human life by God. There is a clear, distinct, family like connection to our God.
We had a great day yesterday; Michael is a very good spirited child, I have given over the responsibility of the care for him to Jesus, his mom hasn't been a good example for him. Since his dad is not around he looks to me for direction and I want to be a good role model, Erika gets frustrated and jealous and sometimes unnecessarily accuses Michael of misbehaving. He's a good looking kid and real athletic, he has a good chance at being something special. I will do whatever God leads me to do to help him.
My rottweiler is a joy, she loves to play around with her toys and bothers me to play along. Jesus miraculously healed Eva from bone growth plate damage that developed after she fell off a chair as tiny puppy, she had been limping for months and I was worried about her, my wife and I prayed for her and took her to the vet. Vet didn't have any easy options so we decided we'd let God handle her. Last month we were on vacation for a week and left the dogs with a Kennel service. To make a long story short when we had returned, Eva was miraculously healed! She no longer limps at all and she has twice the strength and endurance when she runs. Thank God for his wonderful promises to us his children!
Our chihuahua became ill while she was at the Kennel service. First we prayed for her, then we took her to the vet to get blood tests done because she had been vomiting. Thank God the tests came back negative, Amen. After a few vet suggested treatments the tiny little furball is back in perfect health! Our God is an awesome God, I am sure God gave us these wonderful pets to care for and nurture just as he cares for and nurtures us.
